Settlement for Claimant with Functional Neurological Disorder

Aegis Legal recently secured a significant settlement for a client, Mrs B, who developed Functional Neurological Disorder following an incident at work.  The Claimant sustained superficial injuries following a blow to her face and falling, including swelling and bruising to her face, laceration to her mouth and a headache. However, she went on to develop functional seizures and a functional neurological disorder.

The Claimant was unable to work and had significant care and occupational therapy requirements. Her mobility was impaired and she struggled to concentrate, her memory was poor and her social life was effectively ended.

It is hoped that with the settlement secured on her behalf she will be able to undergo the recommended treatment and employ case managers to assist her with her day-to-day needs.
